My previous blog -- the part about me getting ready to write another book -- got me thinking about some of the topics that have been up for me these past many years. Ones that excite me -- float my boat, as I am wont to say -- ones that seem real relevant to me, and are what I consider fruits of the Holotropic perspective. And one of these is about the two complementary dynamics discussed and written about so eloquently in mystical and philosophical traditions across the world spectrum: Being

Hey, everybody!
Just a quick check-in, from the road. I'm in the Atlanta airport -- bit of a wait -- after my week with my oldest son and two grandsons. The subject is life on this earth: doing what we can, and being blessed by all kinds of wonderful experiences -- like a chance to make conscious and heal old times, using one of the most incredible allies we could ever have: the Holotropic perspective. So, forgive my wonderings. I feel so grateful for my life in this moment, and I attr

Hey, everybody!
I'm in Georgia this weekend, visiting with my oldest son, Ason, and my two grandsons, Dallin and Kellin. I'm happy. Just wanted to pick up where we left off last week -- about translating perinatal language -- and share a bit about some work we have been doing in Australia, and will also soon be doing in the US.
For the past two years, and again later this year, we have been presenting one-day workshops in different cities -- either something along the lines of

Mirrors of an Identical Wombtwin Survivor
This work in progress is dedicated to still suffering identical wombtwin survivors, who may well identify with the meaning of surviving life, yet experience inner turmoil the likes of which inhibits living life to the fullest. I honor the necessary defense systems that protected us throughout our journeys, yet hopefully through sharing the other side of denial, we can embark on this healing quest together without guilt, s

My Journey into Conscious Conception
What a Journey, I ... as a sperm entity, traveling towards the ovum to what seemed the longest marathon distance imaginable. Traveling to reach the human form through Conception into life. Journeying with millions of sperm travelers each in their own way bidding for existence. Each through their own volition; exploring different avenues. Some never to be seen again others lost in purpose, others abandoning the journey, others destroyed by toxic inf…

My Journey into the Cosmic Void
I initially experienced the life force energy of an earthly colored large three inch reptilian snake with gentle coursing undulating body motions which my body took on experientially, along my spine and in each successive purging and cleansing of my chakra centers… All body sensations to the core of my being left my body. There was no body aches or pain, no emotional baggage, no trauma nor mind chatter and no fear whatsoever.
As that was taking…

Gifts of Balance
Deep within this Wounded Child
This Lonely Child, who stands
Arms Outstretched, Crying into
The Despairing Empty Nights,
Lies a flicker of Hope
A flame of Knowing, of Believing
In the Power of Spirit
Great Spirit bringing forth Healing.
The Winters of my Pain tells me
It has been too long, all this Suffering
Beating Mysel

A Spiritual Story or A Spiritual Path…
Last Wednesday at dusk in late August... I was sitting in my favorite recliner rocking chair on my newly built veranda... along with my pure bread hunter apricot poodle on my lap, listening to classical music… I happen to raise my eyes to observe a beautiful fully mature male deer coming to a stop across the main rural highway which is about one hundred feet directly across my driveway entrance.

Dissolving Resentments
Resentments for me, are the result of anger and or rage, indignation or injury, often suppressed, or inappropriately expressed, fueled by events, which occurred in the past. My futile attempts at Evolving… included my re-enacting the hurts over and over again in the present, expecting a different result.
By keeping afresh in my mind and body the painful words that were said to me or deeds and actions that were do

A Spiritual Quest
Oh! Great Spirit have me “Whole”
Whilst gathering the fragmented pieces that lay
Dormant, on the shattered fringes of my soul
Help me bring them together as you once did
In the cosmic unity of my mother’s womb
Oh! Great Spirit, grant me the courage and
Integrity to define those aspects of me that are truly
My own, not roles assigned or imprints superimp

Mini Life Book for Gerald, Norman and Geraldine
My fraternal Twin sister and I were born on August 12 1944. I was named Gerald Norman and my sister was named Geraldine Normande. There is no mention of a father’s name on the certificate of registration at our births.
We were conceived, very much an unplanned pregnancy. In fact my mother made four separate attempts at aborting this pregnancy. I also know these various abortion attempts, were per

Hey, everybody!
Over the years many of us have discussed the implications of modifying Holotropic terminology to meet the needs of special populations. So I'd like to share a little about this issue. At certification last October, the group was digging in for the traditional marathon perinatal show. Only of course now the format is a tad different. Since nobody can recreate Stan's original eight to twelve hour -- or as was the case in the very first certifications, sometimes sixteen to

I'd like to say a few words about lineage, and how I see it in terms of Holotropic Breathwork. Lineage appears to be part of most of the world spiritual traditions. I'm not trying to make a case for HB being a spiritual tradition, in the same manner as the other recognized traditions. However, its spiritual power is evident, and everyone I've talked to who uses it systematically reports that no matter what reason they began their HB journey, the method eventually took them into the sacred or num…

Hi HB Community,
I have been making inquiries about the upcoming modules this year and have been delighted to hear from my old HB friends. I am looking forward to becoming more involved and continue my path as a facilitaor and GTT staff both at the modules and at Fires Creek Center when the time comes.
In the meantime I am now a substance abuse counselor and have recently opened a recovery residence in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you know anyone out there that needs to "retreat " from the wor…

Hey, everybody,
I'm honored and excited to be writing for AHBI. I'd like first to express my gratitude to Ken and Marty and the Board for reaching out to us and giving me this opportunity to be a part of the online Holotropic community in a little more active way. Since this crew and many others in AHBI have stepped up to be in service, a lot of creative and vitalizing energy seems to be circulating in the community. And Cary, Stacia and I are blessed to feel a small part of it.
So this first…

Stan and Tav work hard. It's a great, worthwhile adventure. But in years to come, on their retirement, we don't want to see their work envisaged as we envisage Livingstone in the jungle - the lost, waiting to be found in shaded green canopies. That is why it is important that representives of HB be appointed to make an impact upon the world in the same way that they have made an impact. Someone must, eventually, be appointed to this position. Can an appointment be made if that appointment is for…

This is a tale of perception, initially glimpsed in an altered state. It doesn’t matter much which one; meditation, entheogen, dream vision or garden variety epiphany, the point is that all of these various means give us a portal from which to view life from a different angle. This particular day the e…
