What is your interest in Holotropic Breathwork? (This will be shown on your public profile.)
Holotropic Breathwork has been one of the many paths I've taken in my spiritual journey. I was fortunate to attend a week-long retreat held in the Swiss Alps in the 1990s, hosted by Stan Grof and Jack Kornfield. Christina Grof dropped in mid-week to give us a talk and hold a Q & A session. The whole experience was magical and wondrous. The rest of my Breathwork has been done in Ireland with people trained by the Grofs.

I am an Irish-Canadian author who has just published a novel called People of the Great Journey which features sessions of Breathwork as well as other practices such as soul retrieval, shamanic journeying, firewalking and Celtic Sweat House. I call it a female Steppenwolf (but with more humour than Herman Hesse). I'd like the Breathwork community to know about my work if that is acceptable.
How has the practice of breathwork affected your life and work? ( This will be shown on your public profile.)
Breathwork gave me access to areas of my psyche which had been fenced off by the internal censor. The latter was a guardian as well as a guard, but was restricting me past the age and time when I no longer needed protection. A great healing tool, Breathwork took me beyond the place where "the talking cure" stopped and help me release negative energy trapped in my body. I do believe that this book - my 9th - is the one I was born to write and therefore Breathwork has contributed immeasurably to my life and work.
