We are always directly experiencing archetypes. That is why movies move us. New world consciousness comes about as our consciousness awareness expands.

NY Eve.. Puja, then sink into silence. At the stroke of midnight, we are immersed in meditation. While others drink champagne and light firecrackers, we crazy meditators are quiet! We must be very boring. Yet the joy of this silence is more wonderful than any partying I've ever done. I have honored this tradition for 40 years. Only now, I understand it a little more.

Real meditation is not repeating a mantra, or controlling the breath, or concentrating on an object of thought. Real meditation happens in an instant, an instant of effortless, self-effulgent, unbounded, thought-free Bliss.

A moment of true meditation elevates the time around it, before and after. Our heart only needs to capture a single God-particle of Bliss. That divine instant reverberates into the past and future, engulfing our ancestors and our destiny. That divine instant enfolds eternity. All we have ever done, all we will ever do, is permeated by the Bliss of that instant, as a pinch of sugar sweetens a whole pot of cream, whether the cream is poured into the pot before or after the pinch of sugar. The Bliss of that moment touches our parents, our grandparents, and all the deceased, healing old relationships. The Bliss of that moment blesses the unborn.

Here is the secret of meditation: Tap into gonging silent golden emptiness for one moment, and you immerse time in That which has no end or beginning. This is why, at midnight on New Year's Eve, we are in silence. The whole coming year is bathed in the radiance of that moment.

May you enter the New Year with a gong of quietness, a toast of Bliss nectar, a celebration of One. May the golden Presence of that moment make you rich all year!

"To the illumined mind, the whole world burns and sparkles with light." Emerson

"I am a hole in a flute the Christ-breath moves through: listen to this music!" Hafiz

I've noticed that whenever anyone posts a comment to anyone .... even this one ... it is automatically posted in such a way that anyone can read it. Open any profile and every message that person has received had is laid out for anyone to read.... yet direct emails are not included for more private conversations. This could become problematic if someone intends their comment to be private and isnt aware that anyone can read it. Can this be corrected? Is there a way to rearrange the site so there isnt so much transparency that it becomes an issue, especially with regards to accidental disclosures of personal conversations?

It's so nice to see our Holotropic Breathwork community finally (be)coming of age. As a graphic artist, I'm also stunned by the enormous beauty, love and devotion to the work that is radiating from this website. Holy cow! Don't know what to say anymore... Maybe just that the late and great spirit of Margaret Mead was completely right when she left us with her great wisdom: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world."

Namaste
