Hi Everyone!
Thanks so much for sharing your serpent experiences! Incidentally, would like to cross-link this conversation to one I have been having with Allen in the Reading Room regarding 'Seidways - Shaking, Swaying and Serpent Mysteries' by Jan Fries.
I just managed to get hold of a copy of the book which is very interesting in the light of this topic thread to date and which I commend to the group!

Hello Janine and Allen! I also had a serpent experience in Joshua Tree the first week Spiritual Emergency.
This was not unusual for me because every breathwork I have a Serpent appears in some form. This was the first time it took form as a cobra. I had the tetne build up and my arms turned into two snakes and started to move intertwined but not touching... it made me think of the healing snakes and recognize the healing energy our hands can conduct. My hands went on either side of my neck and turned into two cobras. I felt energy coming out the top of my head, I felt the cobras were protecting me.

Reading your experiences I remembered that the serpent is one of the sacred animals for the Andean aboriginal tradition (I live near the Andes in south america). She is called Sachamama and corresponds to the south direction and the water in this shamanic tradition. She is supposed to live in the underworld and helps to clean and work with unconscious material and the shadow. Thanks for sharing your interesting experiences!

ok allen that's pretty amazing. i need to go look at my mandala of that session. i almost always write some on the back because there is usually so much material that i will forget it if i dont document it.....anyway, i went down into the earth tunnel from where i had been laying on the earth near the maze...hands come up from the earth and dug our my body pulling it into the tunnel- i had turned inside into this green energy and went down the tunnel in that format....pretty synchronistic! if you faced where stan spoke, i was breathing with rosan next to the left wall towards the front speaker.

i have had a similar synchronicity with someone in my group at the omega workshop a few years back.... wow.

Wow. I also had a serpent experience in a breathwork session at the Joshua Tree Shamanism Module (also feb 09). In this experience I was crawling in complete darkness through a very tight and extremely claustrophobic tunnel deep under the earth. But after a while greenish light began filtering through the tunel walls from outside and I realised it had become the inside of a big snake I was moving through. Eventually I emerged from it inside a soft-skinned egg. Janine, that sounds similair to your own experience.

Hello Jules. I had an experience in Breathwork session february before last in which, to keep it short, i traveled far down into the earth ( i think?) down deep to the center where there was a huge cobra with a crown on his head. He was protecting me after that as i ended up in an egg warm and safe in his coils.

Hi Jules,I have had two experiences of serpent vision during session of ayahuasca.
One of them was of the winged serpent of the Aztecs (Queztacoatl). The other one was a serpent. The other was of a serpent removing to me from a very dark place.
During my formation as facilitator I had a experience to wake up of the Kundalini, where it saw a serpent raising by a trunk and that it invited to me to follow it. I drew it in mandala.

I would like to ask if members of the group have experience of snake/serpent imagery or energy during shamanic breathwork
